Vipassana

Vipassana

At Vipassana, the first meditation is sitting and noticing only your breath as it passes over the philtrum into the nose and out from the nose. At first, I had to exaggerate the breath, blowing hard, inhaling hard, so I could feel the light air. After ten hours of the meditation that day, I could feel the slightest breath.

This is a good check point for me, now. If I can’t feel that gentle air, I am out of touch with the moment. I take as long as it takes to feel that again. Usually it’s only a minute or two. But that minute makes a huge difference in how I feel and how in the flow I become again.
